Owners Fabrizio and his wife Marika are lovely hosts, dedicated to every aspect of your experience at the estate. The African style villas comprise African and Far Eastern artefacts, and most of the furniture is made on the property in the villa’s workshop - run by interior design Marika. The gardens are meticulously maintained and include many palms from the villa’s nursery. Large verandas with huge hand carved sofas with cushions dominate the front of the villas where a stretch swimming pool sits on the edge of a small cliff merging into the sea and the horizon.
Fresh seafood, brought daily from the local fisherman on the beach below, includes some of the best Indian Ocean seafood and a variety of sea fish. Expect discreet service from experienced staff, and when required, each villa has one or two butlers and nannies at disposal. Alfajiri has won several awards for best service worldwide provided by a private villa.
Fabrizio has spent the last 23 years in Kenya in the safari business - Alfajiri organizes Safaris to several including in Tsavo East National Park, Masai Mara National Reserve and Samburu National Reserve. Wake up at dawn for a morning game drive or game walk, followed by a bush breakfast. Enjoy the view from your private veranda over the Galana River. You may even opt for a hot air balloon safari with spectacular views over the Maasai Mara plains.
