Next you’ll travel southwards to Lisbon. On the way, stop by Coimbra to visit the oldest university of Europe; Batalha and its UNESCO protected monastery of refined gothic architecture; and Alcobaca, home to the oldest church in Europe which lodges the tomb of King Pedro and Ines - the most famous Portuguese love story.
