Mexico

Mexico is a paradise, especially for culture and archaeology buffs. Start with Teotihuacan near Mexico City, more than a fabulous archaeological site, it is the centre and axis of a major part of Mexican mythology and the meeting place of the gods. Next is Campeche where you will stay at a local Hacienda – a collection of 17th century houses beautifully restored to become the most original hotel in the area. In the vicinity is another major archaeological site.

Yucatan is known for its countless Cenotes; underground pools which are revealed when limestone caves collapse. The water found in a Cenote may be fresh water, salt water or both; it may be open like a lake or almost completely closed.

Afterwards you will spend some days at a Hacienda sited on a beach in Mexico’s Riviera Maya, along a two-mile stretch of white powder sand against crystal blue water. From here you will explore Xcaret, Tulum and Hel-Ha – Mayan history, archaeological zones and Mexico natural beauty await you there. We recommend travelling from October to May to avoid extreme temperatures.
