Quintessential British Elegence

Hotel Tresanton in Cornwall & Hotel Endsleigh in Devon, United Kingdom

Quintessentially British, effortlessly elegant & utterly homely, is how one could describe Hotel Tresanton in Cornwall and Hotel Endsleigh in Devon. Take a trip to England’s Western countryside to Devon and Cornwall and stay in these sister properties, both restored and transformed by a renown and passionate hotelier and designer.

“An area of Cornwall so beautiful it’s almost fictional. And a hotel so beautifully decorated it’s almost painful. With food so seasonal it’s almost still breathing” says RIchard Curtis on Hotel Tresanton.

Originally created as a yachtsmen’s club, Tresanton is a cluster of houses on the edge of St. Mawes, one of the prettiest fishing villages in Cornwall. All 30 rooms have stunning views across the sea towards St. Anthony’s lighthouse. Make sure to attend one of feast nights at the Hidden Hut; an outdoor, rustic affair where you bring your own plates, cutlery and alcoholic drinks, and a delicious meal is served to you. Did we mention this was on a beach?

“If ever a hotel were built in paradise it would be like Endsleigh – a fairytale cottage set in an Arcadian landscape with delicious food and blissful rooms”¦ the perfect opportunity to step back in time to a graceful age” says Alan Titchmarsh on Hotel Endsleigh.

Designed for the 6th Duke of Bedford in 1811, Hotel Endsleigh is a stunning historic house set in acres of fairytale woodland and surrounded by beautiful gardens, follies and grottoes. Carefully restored it in the spirit of the regency period, you will see original pieces and artwork blended with contemporary luxury. Hidden in a secret valley at the edge of the Dartmoor, many of the 16 bedrooms have magnificent views of the gardens, the river Tamar and beyond into Cornwall.
