Just a half-hour drive from Cape Town are the Cape vineyards, the largest winemaking region of South Africa, dating back to the 1600s. From sunset tastings against a backdrop of mountains to renting a romantic cottage overlooking the vines, we highly recommend exploring the Cape vineyards. One of our favourites is a winery which lets you custom-make your wine - taste the different grape sorts and combine them to create your very own perfect concoction, which you can later bottle and take home with you.
Remark
Although South Africa is a year-round destination, the best time to travel is from September to November, April to May.
