10.June 2016

Eleven Madison Park

Swiss chef Daniel Humm has won numeorus awards since arriving at Eleven Madison seven years ago. The restaurant has recently switched from its à la carte concept in favor of a tasting extravaganza made famous by star chefs like Thomas Keller and Ferran Adrià. Their multi-course tasting menu focuses on the extraordinary agricultural bounty of New York and on the centuries-old culinary traditions that have taken root here.

Minetta Tavern

Over the course of its long history, the Tavern was frequented by various celebrated figures including Ernest Hemingway, Ezra Pound, Eugene O'Neill, E. E. Cummings and other writers, poets, and boxers. Since its renovation, Minetta Tavern has best been described as "Parisian steakhouse meets classic New York City tavern.". Best steak and burger in town!

Sushi Nakazawa
www.sushinakazawa.com
Japanese born Chef Daisuke Nakazawa has spent a good part of his young life studying the nuances of fish. In his teens, he apprenticed at Yoshi Sushi and the Tsukiji Fish Market in Tokyo. He quickly became enamored with the best quality fish and educated himself about the ingredients he would utilize for the rest of his life. Nakazawa was awarded an opportunity to apprentice for Jiro Ono, considered the best sushi chef in the world, at his 3 Michelin starred restaurant Sukiyabashi Jiro. In 2013, Chef Nakazawa arrived in New York City to open Sushi Nakazawa on a quiet tree-lined street in the West Village. Serving what he calls ”˜New York-mae’, the chef has merged all he has learned in Japan and America. We guaranteed that Japanese food doesn't get much better than this.

The Waverly Inn

In this Alice in Wonderland meets Downton Abbey styled restaurant you are bound to meet a celebrity or politician sitting in a corner of the green house or of the overly decorated yet charming main restaurant. You could call it a select and cozy club of some sorts, as you will probably need the right contacts to get a table. Go for their Waverly Burger!

GATO

GATO is Chef Bobby Flay's expression of Mediterranean food, drink, and design. The NoHo location is a 100-year-old building, and GATO is the first restaurant to reside there. GATO combines its NYC roots with a European sensibility and has a casual approach, a bustling environment, and a dedicated passion to its cuisine.
