Amanwana, Moyo Island

Indonesian Island Paradise

Amanwana, Moyo Island

Indonesian Island Paradise

A short Cessna flight away from Bali lies Moyo Island, an Indonesian wildlife reserve. Amanwana and its 20 tents along the jungle-covered beach are a wilderness hideaway, and in fact the only resort on this island. The protected marine park offers some of the best scuba diving and snorkelling in Indonesia, with pristine reefs boasting a rich array of sea life. Jungle treks on Moyo offer you the chance to discover waterfalls and a variety of birdlife. The island is also home to a deer sanctuary for the indigenous rusa deer.

You can also take up kayaking, fishing, windsurfing, whether you’re a pro or are simply curious to try”¦ In the open-air Jungle Cove Spa you will experience massages beneath a roof of shady tamarind trees, overlooking the Amanwana bay.

Remark

The ultimate excursion are some days on Amanikan, the camp’s 32-metre coastal cruiser which hosts adventures to Rinca and Komodo islands where the legendary Komodo dragons can be seen.
