Every 3 years, the largest congregation on earth takes place in India, as millions of devout, of all ages, shape and size, bathe in the rivers to cleanse their sins. This ritual lasts for over 50 days. Visitors come from all over the world to witness this fascinating event. At Camp Lakshmi Kutir, guests stay in luxurious tents, overlooking the main bathing areas and rite sites. Walk into the heart of the Maha Kumbh and experience for yourself the pulsating energy and power of this immense spiritual gathering. It is held every third year at one of the following places by rotation: Haridwar, Allahabad, Nashik and Ujjain. Thus the Kumbh Mela is held at each of these four places every twelve years.
