Darwin's Islands
Galapagos, Ecuador
Galapagos – an archipelago of volcanic island, lying amidst the Pacific Ocean, and straddling the Equator. The islands’ geology is particularly unique; none other than Charles Darwin was inspired by the creatures that roam, fly and swim around the islets. In fact, his studies of its habitat, particularly of the various endemic species, contributed to his theory of Evolution. And who are we to argue with that. Whether it is the mysterious Marine Iguana, the Blue-footed Booby, or a colony of extremely approachable sea lions lounging on the sea-shore, one is guaranteed to witness something new and marvelous.
