Nature & Adventure in South America
Chile & Argentina
"Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everything better".
Albert Einstein
This is a spectacular journey for nature lovers – get ready to take in some of the most impressive landscapes. Start your travels in Santiago de Chile; where on a clear day, the city stands against one of the most spectacular backdrops of any city in the world – snowcapped Andean peaks towering over the capital. Travel southward to Parque Nacional Torres del Paine, where your hotel is on the shore of Lake Pehoé, an ideal, beautiful setting to explore Patagonia. The park itself encompasses ancient forests, glaciers, lakes, rivers, fjords and fauna and is home to some of the world’s most classic trekking routes.
Argentina, El Calafate is next. Your lodge is located among picturesque scenery, stretching over a 3’000 hectare property. From there you will explore the Los Glaciares National Park, an area of exceptional natural beauty, with rugged, towering mountains and glacier lakes. At its farthest end, three glaciers meet to dump their effluvia into the milky grey glacial water, launching massive igloo icebergs into the lake with thunderous splashes.
Iguazu awaits you on the border of Brazil. Quite literally a natural paradise, as sight like no other, the Iguazu falls leave one at a loss for words. If you’re looking for a high-adrenaline rush – a jungle trek, rafting on the Iguassu River, or a helicopter flight – that’s all arrangeable.
Remark
If you have some more time on your hands – why not combine your trip with Peru or Bolivia?
