“I now know, by an almost fatalistic conformity with the facts, that my destiny is to travel...” - Ernesto Guevara

After a few days in the elegant and cosmopolitan city of Buenos Aires, we arrive in Mendoza, land of sunshine and fine wine. Enjoy strolling the tree-lined streets & lovely squares of th city, with the Andes mountains as a dramatic backdrop. A few days later we will drive across the Argentine/Chilean Border - you will be pleased with the scenic roads, including views over Mount Aconcagua, the highest mountain peak in the Western Hemisphere. Spend at least a couple of days in Chile’s capital, Santiago de Chile, touring nearby Valparaiso (the country's oldest and largest port city). A jump to Northern Chile lands you in San Pedro de Atacama - your base from which to explore the Atacama Desert and its lunar landscape. Other-wordly sights await you here.

Another drive across the Chilean/Argentine border, this time through the Puna highlands with their astonishing salt flats and dispersed llama herds. Take a look at Purmamarca, a mountain village framed by Cerro de los Siete Colores, a multicolored hill painted by seven earthy colors. Finally we arrive in the Salta Region - historic & colorful, countryside & Indian villages, colonial architecture & grand estancias. Your charming and unique boutique hotel is inspired by the history and the culture from the Argentinean northwest, evoking the most loved and memorable characters from Salta.

Next is Cafayate (we’ll spend a few night in Cachi on the way) - in a region which could be named the “Tuscany of Argentina”. Look forward to palatial-style wineries, luxury lodges, and fine arts & crafts. The wine town has its own distinct colors - pink dust, red hills and olive-green mountains. Adopt the rhythm of this lead-back town where donkeys graze on the central plaza, and unlocked bicycles stand outside buildings.

A short 2 hour flight away are the falls of Iguazu, on the Argentine/Brazil border - a perfect stop before continuing to Brazil's coastline! Click here to preview your sea-side journey.
