Ranthambore National Park

Rajasthan, India

Once the Royal hunting ground for the Maharajas of Jaipur, Ranthambore National Park has been a protected area and tiger reserve since 1973. The number of visitors permitted is limited for the sake of the area’s protection - let us reserve for you the ultimate Safari experience in India, along with your exciting travels through Rajasthan. Although seeing one is partly a matter of luck, the tiger is what attracts most people to the park. An expert guide can facilitate that. But don’t forget that there is plenty of other wildlife to see - the park is abundant with monkeys, wild boars, crocodiles & birds as well as the endangered caracal, also a member of the cat family, the leopard and the jungle cat; several members of the dog family, such as hyenas, foxes and jackals; the sloth bear; and varieties of deer, including the chital (spotted deer) and the sambar, India’s largest deer. There are also two species of antelope: the chinkara (Indian gazelle) and the nilgai (antelope).

Ranthambore National Park is also considered a heritage site due to the ruins that dot the wildlife park. including around Ranthambore Fort are ancient temples and mosques, hunting pavilions, vine-covered chhatrs and crocodile-filled lakes.
