The Saannenland has over 150 farms, 80 of which still use Alpine pastures and around 7000 cows in the region. Traditions and authenticity are very important to it's locals as well as for it's loyal visitors. The Saanenland region historically belonged to the Savoyard county of Gruyère, which castle is located only a 40 minutes drive away. La Gruyere is also home to the world famous Gruyere Cheese. Fondue, Raclette or Rösti have to be tasted in one of the many gourmet restaurants in the area. With the right advice you will dine and wine bringing your senses to culinary heaven.
