The Landscapes of Southern China

Guangxi, China

China offers much more than Beijing and its terrific heritage, or Shanghai and its pulsating daily life; we invite you to journey China’s Southern provinces. Explore Guangxi, known for its breathtaking scenery and patchwork of nationalities.

Let’s start in Guilin, by visiting The Reed Flute Cave - a natural limestone cave and a wonderful example of Karst formations. You’ll be impressed by the Elephant Trunk Hill - a whole hill which looks very much like a giant elephant. It is also Guilin's symbol.
We’ll also take you to The Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces of Longji, the result of both the profound wisdom and strenuous labor of the Zhuang people. Although not quite a natural phenomena, standing over the waves of green hills is a natural bliss. They’ve received their name because the rice terraces resemble a dragon’s scale, and the summit of the mountain ranges looks like a dragon’s backbone. As well as taking in the breathtaking scenery, visit China’s ethnic minority cultures, and try the renowned Longji tea and wine.
The Li River was listed by National geographic as one of the top ten watery wonders of the world. That’s why we’ll take you on a floating voyage along the Li River, twisting through an enchanted landscape of limestone peaks, peaceful green fields, and farms with their water buffalos. Watch as the water beautifully mirrors the scenery.
